I began showing dogs in conformation in 2023 with my "foster fail" Missi.  When Missi took her first Winners Bitch, I was asked after the show how we did.  I joyfully replied "She took the Best of Bitches!" and the name just stuck. I n 2024, we welcomed Hunter to the pack.  Hunter and I achieved his AKC Champion of Record title in April 2025 at the Terry-All KC show in Brighton, CO.  To my surprise, there were no rosettes for becoming champion...and this particular club did not offer rosettes for "New Titles".  

 

I realized this was likely the biggest achievement that Hunter would ever win and I really wanted a better way to celebrate his accomplishment.  I met Elaine at Vivid Award Studios (www.vividawardstudios.com) - and found not only a new passion but also an amazing teacher and mentor.  Elaine has created amazing Rosette maker kits that have everything you need, including fantastic instructional videos.  Most of my rosettes are inspired by her creations.  I highly recommend her to any who feel inspired to make rosettes for themselves.

 

After learning through making multiple kit ribbons, I began making celebration ribbons for my friends and colleagues in the dog show world.  I've realized that creating beautiful and unique rosettes to celebrate the individual accomplishments of these amazing canine companions is fulfilling both a need I have for expressing creativity as well as honoring the accomplishments of others.
